Our Core Values

We value the Bible...

We believe that the Bible is the inspired and inherent word of God. The Bible is for teaching, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Bible is the most important part of our Christian life. It is the Bible that leads us in our everyday walk. We are committed to the preaching and teaching of God’s Word. It is the Bible that will dictate what we do as a church and it is the means of our spiritual growth.

We value people…

We believe that the Scripture teaches that Christ instructs all believers to go and be His witnesses (Acts 1:8). We believe in seizing every opportunity individually and corporately to show and tell of the love of Christ in the power of the Spirit to our community. We believe that people were important to Christ, based on His interaction with all people, and we believe relationships are key for helping the hurting in a time of need. We believe the key to being a witness of Christ is to show the same love that Christ showed us when He died on the cross for our sins. By showing off Christ in our own lives, we confirm the faith that we have in Christ.

We value fellowship…

We believe that the Scripture teaches that we should build a strong, Christ-centered, unified community in our church (Acts 2:42-47). It is our desire to grow closer together as a group and to form a bond of unity as illustrated in the book of Acts. We believe that meeting together outside of a traditional church service reflects the maturity of the body of Christ and their desire to grow closer to one another for the building up of each other. This results in a body that resembles Christ’s physical earthly ministry.

We value discipleship…

We believe that the Scripture teaches that we are to grow in faith, with an absolute joy in Christ, based upon the truth of God’s Word with intentional teaching from other believers (Colossians 1:28). We believe that the Scripture teaches that if we live by faith we will have the confidence to face any obstacle and be able to show the strength that we have in the Christ. We believe that if we are growing in our walk with Christ, then others that we are in contact with will also grow to the fullness of Christ.

We value worship…

We believe that the Scripture teaches that each individual has the responsibility to offer their lives up in worship to God as a living sacrifice. (Romans 12:1-2) This sacrifice then causes a unified church that worships our Creator. We are committed to gathering together as a unified body of Christ to exalt God by worshipping Him through many forms of worship. We believe that worship is the coming together of individual believers to celebrate God and to give Him glory. This celebration then strengthens the body for the work of the ministry.

We value service…

We believe that the Scripture teaches that God has given us responsibilities to accomplish for His glory (Ephesians 2:10). We are committed to ministry as a team by equipping and empowering every member to identify and use his or her spiritual gifts in the building up of the body of Christ. Each person in the church has a distinct gift and if we all don’t do our job then the body of Christ will not be complete. No one person has all the gifts possible to build the body of Christ, rather, we believe everyone needs to work together and do what God has gifted them to do.

We value prayer…

We believe that the Scripture teaches that we have a great mediator that stands between us and God so that we can communicate with God (1 Timothy 2:5) and have a complete communion with God. It is a great privilege that we have to communicate with God without hesitation. It is prayer that is the life line to a healthier walk with Christ and an opportunity for us to reveal to God our praises and needs. Through prayer lives are changed, and our focused is directed towards God which results in a healthier church.
